October greetings from the studio!

Maple trees are glowing extra golden in the autumn sun that we’re lucky to have these days on the island. I have  enjoyed reflecting on the Wild exhibit that came down about a month ago. My fellow exhibitor Shari Macdonald and I felt good about the show meeting the vision we’d had for it.  Many of the hand painted originals I showed have gone off to live in their new homes. But, for those not able to come see them in person, i’ve put an image gallery of the pieces here on my site. Just follow the Image Galleries tab till you find “Wild Exhibit”. Enjoy!  I plan to put a cart on this website soon in case you’re interested in purchasing an original or a reproduction of my hand painted photographs.

These days  I’m finishing up a small body of completely different work for a show opening next week on Salt Spring at the Salt Spring Gallery. I will be exhibiting with two dear friends, Lisa Lipsett and Barbara Siegele. The show, opening October 19th,  is titled “Bella: Inspired Moments in France and Italy”.  Barbara, Lisa and I spent time together in France and Italy a few years ago. In this collection of images each of us, in our own way,  pays homage to timeless beauty, flashes of insight, and conversations across time that we encountered along the way.  Bella!

For now,

Amy
